Suncastles

I feel like a mirror.

Thin as glass, bright as daylight

I feel like a string on a guitar.

Long ago plucked, my vibration slowly fading

Is it wrong to cheat on the present moment?

To wait for sun just to see your shadow?

But I remember love is a blanket,

And that no matter how cold the water that washes away sandcastles.

Soon it will be summer, and you can swim until you have forgotten why you hurt in the first place…
